Cathedral oiled oak (Jersey)

Cathedral oiled Oak Jersey is a contemporary bleached looking oak floor. The Jersey finish is achieved using a chemical reactive treatment on the oak before applying a colour oil and then two final coats of finishing oil. This finish will change colour over time due to the effects of natural ultraviolet light. You will get light and dark tones within individual boards and from one board to another. Over time as the boards mellow down this becomes less apparent. Being a very light floor in colour this floor will need looking after and will be less likely to hide wear and tear if badly maintained. Regular cleaning using soap-wash and the use of a 5% white maintenance oil when required should keep this floor looking good for years to come.
