Cathedral oiled Ash (Bordeaux)

Cathedral oiled Ash (Bordeaux) is a light red / pink floor. Ash has a very varied grain structure and colour tone ranging from yellow, pink, grey to white, very Scandic. Colouring the ash helps to even out the colour variation but it will still exist. The finish is achieved using a line brushing machine to remove the soft pithy grain and then the boards are coloured with colour oils. These floors may change colour over time due to the effects of natural ultraviolet light. You will get light and dark tones within individual boards and from one board to another. Over time as the boards mellow down this becomes less apparent. Regular cleaning using soap-wash and the use of a clear maintenance oil when required should keep this floor looking good for years to come.
